Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by nerdsNextDoor, including the design and development of brochure websites, as well as related services outlined below. By engaging in our services, the customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Website Design and Development
nerdsNextDoor will create a brochure website for the customer's business consisting of up to 20 independent pages. The website will be designed to meet the customer’s specific needs, focusing on functionality and user experience.
2. Limitations of Service
nerdsNextDoor provides web design services but is not responsible for graphic design or copywriting services. While we offer guidance and support on presentation ideas—such as suggestions for logos and wording—the customer is ultimately responsible for creating and providing their company's branding materials, including logos and written content.
3. Hosting
The website will be hosted by nerdsNextDoor for a period of 12 months. The cost of hosting is included in the initial upfront payment for web design services. After the initial 12 months, hosting options will be provided to the customer. These options will be discussed following the initial 1-1 meeting.
4. Post-Launch Updates and SEO Analytics
For a period of 3 months following the website’s launch, nerdsNextDoor will provide complimentary updates and SEO analytics services. These services are intended to ensure optimal website performance and include:
- Updates to copy as provided by the customer.
- SEO updates such as adding or modifying meta tags.
Any additional requests for changes, such as major design modifications, additional pages, or restructuring of website elements, will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Significant design changes will not be accommodated once the website is live, as all design elements must be finalized prior to launch.
After the 3-month period, further update and SEO services are available upon request, and pricing options will be shared with the customer after the initial 1-1 meeting.
5. Limitations on Support
During the 3-month post-launch period, support is limited to ensuring the website operates as intended. Major changes or feature additions outside of the agreed-upon scope will require additional discussions and may result in additional charges.
6. Ownership and Responsibility
Upon final payment, the customer will retain full ownership of the website, including all files and content associated with it. However, nerdsNextDoor is not responsible for the management or upkeep of content after the 3-month support period unless a separate maintenance agreement is entered into.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate the project if the agreed-upon terms are violated or if communication and deliverables are not upheld within the discussed timeframe. In such cases, appropriate compensation for work completed up to the point of termination will be required.
8. Revisions and Additional Costs
Revisions to the website’s content and design must be finalized before the website goes live. Any significant revisions or additions after the site is launched may incur additional fees. Minor updates during the 3-month post-launch period are included, but these are limited to SEO-related changes and copy adjustments as outlined above.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions should be addressed through direct communication with nerdsNextDoor. In the case that issues cannot be resolved, both parties agree to seek resolution through appropriate legal channels.
10. Agreement
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, the customer acknowledges the scope of services and understands the limitations and responsibilities of both parties. nerdsNextDoor is committed to delivering high-quality web design services within the outlined parameters.
